MAP Mindfulness is an organization forged out of a friendship by two contemplative academics. We are mothers, writers, artists, silent seekers, and friends. Our personal mindfulness meditation practices, graduate education in the field, and collaborations with researchers and experts inform the scientifically-backed mindfulness strategies we bring to individuals and groups.

Bringing mindfulness practice into the family and home can have a dramatic effect on the way in which parents and children handle their emotions, stages, and intercommunication. Families can rely on a number of individual and group practices to create space in the home for intentional silence that allows for less reactivity and more compassion.

As adolescents and teens navigate their changing minds and bodies in a world that puts many demands on them, a practice of mindfulness can help ease the many distractions that challenge healthy social emotional growth and intelligence.
